Galeandra

About 26 species are found from Mexico to Bolivia. This genus is characterized by the elongate, cylindrical pseudobulbs with thin, narrow and veined leaves. The inflorescence is apical, curved, often branched. It consist of a few flowers that open in succession. The species can be grown in intermediate to warm conditions along with members of cattleya.
