Gastrochilus
A genus of about 45 species are found from southern India to the Philippines. Most species are short growing. Flower color is usually in shades of white to yellow with dark spotting and barring. The mid lobe of the lip is fused to the outside edge of the sac and is often ornamented with fleshy hairs. Gastrochilus should be kept evenly moist throughout the year. Most species grow well under intermediate conditions with medium bright light.
