Aerangis
About 60 species are know. They are from Africa, Madagascar and the Comoro Islands. Most species required deep shade and high humidity in intermediate or warm temperature. The upright or pendant stems bear leaves in two rows and racemes of few to many white, star shaped flowers with a long spur at the base of the lip. The flowers are scented in the evening. Most species required shade and high humidity in warm temperatures. These plants grow best mounted on bark.
