Dendrobium lichenastrum

A hot to cool growing, hardy little epiphyte or occasionally, lithophyte orchid from north eastern Australian. With branching rhizomes covered in sheathing bracts carrying alternate, prostrate, obovate leaves. The orchid flowers in the fall on a very short raceme beneath a leaf with a single tiny musky scented flower. A brighter winter rest is required with some water but no fertilizer.
